Happy to See You

I had to share this picture that Luke took as the puppies were sitting at the gate waiting to greet me as I came home from work.  There is nothing like seeing their friendly happy faces after a tough day at work, to make life wonderful again!  Dogs are the best therapy in the world, and horses are second!  Love them both, so much!

Standing and stacking training

The puppies love their standing and stacking training, because it means treats.  They run over to the table we use for training, and put their front paws up on it when it's their turn to train.  They are looking really nice, but we have a long way to go on training.  They have all of their shots now, so we will be going out in public a lot with them coming up.  We took them to Tractor Supply last week, and they had a blast touring the store, smelling all the animal food, toys, and treats.  And, of course being the rare creatures that Dalmatians are around here, everybody had to stop and admire them.  Jackie went up tail wagging to everybody, Dodger not so much.  I think he thought he was going to have to get more shots, if he was too friendly.  We will be working on that, he will be going to lots of places and meeting lots of people.  Puppy training classes starting next week for six weeks, and an AKC puppy match in October, and taking them camping in October.

Here are some stacking training pictures from this weekend.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

Puppies are so much fun, and so cute!  But, when they are sleeping, you are very happy to let them sleep!  They are so sweet and so precious when they are sleeping, because you can get things done, and just admire how beautiful they are!  Here are some really cute pictures of our sleeping dogs this week.

More Puppy Pictures

Puppies are so beautiful, I can't stop watching them and taking pictures of them.  It is so hot, 108 degrees for a high both yesterday and today.  Pastures and lawn are burnt up.  Snakes are still here, though!  Can't stand the copperheads, they are the bane of my existence right now.  So worried about my baby pups with all the snakes we've had this year.  We have killed seven copperheads around the house and driveway, and one got away.  The problem is, how many more are there?  I have got to find a wonderful home for Vision to get her away from the snakes.  Here are more pictures of our doggie kids

Puppies in the Dog Days of Summer

It is so hot here right now.  We have had 18 days over 100 degrees, so far, and there is no end in sight for the next week.  But, our puppies sure know how to keep cool and don't mind going outside to play.  We have two plastic tubs of water in the yard where they can lay down and splash in the water, and Dodger and Vision do just that.  Jackie will only go in with her front feet.  Here are some pictures of the babies playing in the yard today.  I got some really great shots of Vision that I will share, and will share more in this coming week.  The work is tremendous, but the blessings that come from these wonderful Dalmatians are great!  House training is going great, they are finally sleeping through the night without having to go potty, and when you say do you have to go potty, they actually go to the door!  Blessings!
