Puppies have arrived!
Our very first litter sired by CH Atlantis Wildcat Victory (Victory) and CH Dalmino's Victory Vegas (Vegas) arrived 1/2 yesterday and 1/2 today. The biggest puppy was born first at 9:00 P.M. yesterday, and I was really sweating it whether she was going to need emergency help. It took her 1 3/4 hours of pushing to get the first puppy out and he was a very large, vigorous, and intelligent liver boy. He immediately latched on and started sucking, and has no problem finding his way to food! The second puppy born at 9:15 P.M. yesterday is the runt of the litter, another liver boy. He is not sucking very well, and not finding his way to the food, or even accepting help finding his way. I'm worried about him. The 3rd puppy was born at midnight, and I think is a black and white girl. The 4th puppy, a boy was born at 12:10 A.M., the 5th a boy at 1:00 A.M., and the 6th, a black and white girl at 2:00 A.M. We finally got some rest at 4:00 A.M., and up again at 6:00 A.M. to start the day. Having puppies is not for the faint of heart! Vegas is being an awesome mother, cleaning the pups, staying in the whelping box with them, feeding them, and just being a very wonderful and concerned mother, but accepting all attention from us, her family. Here are a couple of pictures.

Dalmatian Puppies Due May 1st
Puppies are due May 1st. Here are pictures of Victory and Vegas and their pedigrees. These should be some really nice puppies, as both dogs have champions all throughout their pedigrees and come from some of the finest Dalmatian breeders who have years of experience in breeding really great dogs. And, both parents are really beautiful dogs and champions themselves. We are hoping for a show puppy for ourselves, and two other puppies are spoken for, already.

Spring and Puppies!
I absolutely love Spring in Texas! There is no better place to be than here, with the first flowers blooming in February being my hyacinths and daffodils, then the iris, bluebonnets, indian paintbrush, cactus, evening primrose, mexican hat, and on and on. Bluebonnets are starting to bloom now. They are my favorite! So beautiful!
We attended the Fort Worth dog shows this past weekend, and Victory showed well, but did not place. Lots of good dogs there due to the Dalmatian Specialty show. Here are some pictures of Victory at the show. I think he looked lovely and he behaved very well.

The dog behind Victory won best of breed, owned by the Skibinski's and shown beautifully by Dave Slattum.
CH Atlantis Wildcat Victory
Victory in the middle. The dog in front of him was Best of Breed, a dog named Chocolate, out of CH Tuckaway Winged Foot, who is also the sire of our girl, CH Dalmino's Victory Vegas.
Here is Vegas kissing my Mom.
We have exciting news! We believe Vegas is pregnant and Victory is the sire. She should be about 4 weeks pregnant. This will be our first litter of puppies, so I am very nervous. Both sire and dam are champions, with pedigrees of some of the finest Dalmatians and champions all throughout, and serious, successful breeders throughout their pedigrees, such as Sue MacMillan, Lori Finlayson, Suzi Casey, Carrie Jordan, Michele Markoff, Liz Hancock, and many others. These should be some gorgeous puppies, and we are hoping for another show puppy for us. I will post pedigrees and show and movement pictures of sire and dam in the near future.

Dalmatian Jasper
I received a gift from Rog and Luke, picture attached. They went to a gun show a couple of weeks ago, and didn't buy anything for themselves, but did come back with some Dalmatian jewelry for me. The bracelet and earrings are made of Dalmatian Jasper stones. I looked them up on the internet, and learned that these stones are supposed to help one see their strengths and weaknesses, as well as encourage grounding, both with the earth and reality. Dalmatian Jasper is supposed to increase loyalty and is beneficial in long term relationships. It brings a sense of fun to one's life. Physically, Dalmatian Jasper can help to purify the blood, and provide protection from nightmares, depression, and negative thinking. It is particularly beneficial for healing people who have trouble relaxing and having a bit of fun, which Rog thinks I especially need. I'm not sure I believe all of this, but I will enjoy wearing the bracelet, and will get the earrings switched over to posts with backs, and then will enjoy them, too.

Gorgeous Weather for Horses and Dalmatians
We had the most awesome weather this past weekend! So sorry, Iowa and Minnesota friends! Our high was about 60 degrees and sunny on Saturday, and 70 degrees and sunny on Sunday. Great weather for yard work, motorcycling, and horse riding! Got some bushes trimmed outside, cleaned up cars, rode motorcycles out to eat on Saturday to Cole Mountain restaurant and had the best chicken fried steak I've had in years, and rode my wonderful POA gelding, Jet, on Sunday. Vegas, Victory, and Wishbone got to go along for the horse ride. Wishbone didn't make any of the pictures, though, because he got too tired, and had to rest and couldn't make it the whole time. He is 14 years old, and his hips are really getting bad. He has no muscle left in his hips and back legs. I am so sad, because he is the best ever! Victory and Vegas are doing pretty well at following the horse, and boy do they ever love going horse riding!

Pictures of Luke
Luke will be graduating this Spring. We are so proud of him! He has been a blessing to us, and it has been our constant prayer that he will be a light to the world. His name means light in Latin. He is an excellent student, patriotic American, and is a wonderful Christian. Here are some pictures of him that his friend, Courtney took. We wish him many blessings in his life.

Dallas and Glen Rose Dog Shows
We have great results from the Dallas and Glen Rose dog shows. Vegas finished her CH in Dallas and Victory was Select dog in Dallas. Here are pictures of the Championship certificate, Vegas' CH win photo, and Rog and Victory in Vic's Select win photo.
Victory won Select dog in Glen Rose under judge James Ham. Victory also qualified in the CAT (coursing ability) test in Glen Rose. We just did one CAT test for him in Glen Rose. Rog showed Vegas to a Select win in Glen Rose under judge Don Gill. Vegas also ran 3 qualifying legs of the CAT during our Glen Rose weekend, so she will have a CA (coursing ability) title. She really loved chasing the lures, and her form almost looked like the Whippets when she was running. That was really fun to watch.
New CH Dalmino's Victory Vegas
Rog's first big win, showing Victory to a Select win in Dallas. Notice Rog has on his Victory Vegas cap and Victory t-shirt.
